Gusty winds, thunder, sudden downpours..Bell-Jeff Homecoming Parade

Bell-Jeff Homecoming week ends today with a parade along with the football game with the Mustangs ( Salesian) at 7 p.m. and the crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen during the half-time game at Memorial Field ( Burroughs High ). Today's forecast is a slight chance of showers which should develop late tonight, mostly cloudy skies, some gusty winds and cooler conditions. The convertible owners were instructed by Ms. Rebecca Mcmackin to drive their cars to George Izay park by 2:30 p.m. to get ready for the parade by 3:00 p.m. It was getting dark and by the time we heard the first thunder, the Police escort gave us 5 minutes to ready the vehicles and as soon as we head out of the park, the rain started to pour. I instructed my ride to close the top of the convertible as we started to get wet inside. We continue to move towards the football field and believe it or not, as we were parking the cars the rain stopped. Maybe, if we waited for awhile, it would have been better. In anyways, we made it through, and thanks to all the cheerleaders and all the people who came to watch, rain or shine the show must go on.

Scores Update: Bell-Jeff Guards defeated Salesian Mustangs 18-6 (Varsity)
