First Filipino American and woman hired as White House head chef

This just in and I want to share to all the Filipinos in the global world. Another one to be proud of. Quote " The remarkable thing about the first woman hired as White House head chef is that she’s a naturalized U.S. citizen from the Philippines. She has worked as an assistant chef at the White House for the past 10 years . The new chef, Cristeta Comerford , has been trained in French classical techniques and specializes in ethnic and American cuisine. She holds a degree in food technology from the University of the Philippines. Overheard that the First Lady wanted more Mexican dishes. Maybe Cris can even introduce lumpia or even our famous " kare-kare" with bagoong in one of her menus.
